Mitsubishi Lancer Vs Proton Inspira

Most of Mitsubishi Lancer owner in Malaysia deceived by knowing Proton Inspira was impersonation version of Lancer.  Of course Inspira is approximately RM 30,000 cheaper compared to Lancer. The different contributed by the tax determination. Inspira owner just need to spend several dollars for the emblem, front grille and wheel so that the car appearance transformed from Malaysian flagship to high quality Japanese Flagship.

As for me, it is all about two giant conglomerates game... Mitsubishi owned the technology (research and development for the Lancer) while Proton can save tonne of dollars by adopting the Mitsubishi resources. As Mitsubishi back in Japan not doing well competing with other car manufacturer and invested so much to developing Lancer, why not sharing it with Proton so that their investment worth....furthermore "Malaysia Boleh", it's cheap and it's home ground. The game is quite simple... used and being used by each other in order to gain more profit.... It's business after all.

For Lancer owner's, who took 90% bank loan...i believed they got to drove the car for long years before they can disposed it. They couldn't sell the cars as for now since the market value has fall below par....However, the proud exist as they have the genuine version machines to overcome their deceived feeling.


For Inspira owner's, your patient and choice has been paid off. If you really love it, do not change anything to Lancer similarity. Let it be and enjoy the car while driving it. I believed most of the people your drove through will turn their head towards you and they are the only one knew on the reason...
